An honest guide, including the practices that are not mine.
If you are researching this quietly, you have probably noticed the problem: most of what ranks is built for men, half the sites will not say plainly what happens, and nobody tells you how to compare. So here is the guide I wish existed, written by a practitioner, listing my colleagues by name. I would rather you book the right practice than simply the loudest one.
Ask these of anyone, including me. What exactly is and is not included, in writing? A serious practitioner answers before money moves. Can we talk first? A free call or unhurried messages should be normal, not a favour. What happens if I say stop? The only correct answer: everything stops, instantly, without discussion. Where do my details go? The right answer is nowhere. Anyone who dodges these four questions has answered them.
Grace Rodaughan (Northcote): tantric bodywork for women by a female practitioner, studio sessions of two hours or more. If you specifically want a woman's hands and a dedicated studio, start here.
Touch by Venus (CBD): a female holistic bodyworker with a Spencer Street studio, women's devotional and sensual massage plus couples work. City studio convenience, published prices.
eSensua (Deer Park and Parkdale): Rosario, a male therapist working with women only in two studios across the west and bayside. Daytime availability is his strength; his evenings book out weeks ahead.
Marco Bell: a male practitioner offering outcall yoni and tantric massage to women and couples, hour-length sessions at accessible prices.
Arouze Tantra (Spotswood): tantric massage and workshops for women and couples, studio or visiting.
Freya Graf: if what you actually need is therapeutic rather than sensual, her yoni mapping work is the careful, clinical end of this spectrum, and she is very good at knowing the difference.
Elisa Caro's workshops (Brunswick, monthly): if you would rather learn this territory with a partner than book a practitioner, her long-running workshop series is where Melbourne does that.
Melt is the practice I run, and it holds one specific corner of this map: women only, evenings and weekends, and I come to you. No studio, no signage, no waiting room. A proper massage first, everything after it invitational, and sex never on the menu, in writing. Two hour sessions as standard. What happens and what never does is published in full, and so are the prices.
If another practice on this page fits you better, book them, honestly. The woman who chooses well tells her friends, and that serves every good practitioner in this city, me included.
This guide is maintained by Melt and updated as practices change. Colleagues: corrections welcome at hello@meltmelbourne.com.
